Schrodinger's Cat

Schrodinger's Cat explained:

In the hypothetical experiment … a cat is placed in a sealed box along with a radioactive sample, a Geiger counter and a bottle of poison.

If the Geiger counter detects that the radioactive material has decayed, it will trigger the smashing of the bottle of poison and the cat will be killed.

The experiment was designed to illustrate the flaws of the ‘Copenhagen interpretation’ of quantum mechanics, which states that a particle exists in all states at once until observed.

If the Copenhagen interpretation suggests the radioactive material can have simultaneously decayed and not decayed in the sealed environment, then it follows the cat too is both alive and dead until the box is opened.

The Bugatti X PG craft carbon fiber bicycle

A bicycle with the Bugatti dna. I would like one in black please. It's made of carbon fibre. "Only 667 models of the exclusive bike will be produced", what a weird number.

Much better than pillows

I'm a pillow girl. The more pillows on my bed the better. But I don't like pillows on my chairs. To me it looks like ... uhm ... I don't know ... it looks like nothing. But these chair mats ... I could live with these. Just thinking, on these photo's with the wooden chairs they do. Still have to see if it looks as good on my vintage school chairs.

All of this by weaver Yuka Wakamatsu.

Chuck Berry (R.I.P.) review punk songs

"In a 1980 interview with the zin Jet Lag, Berry shared his thoughts on the punk anthems of the day and spotted his influence in many of them."

The Sex Pistols’ “God Save the Queen”:

“What’s this guy so angry about anyway? Guitar work and progression is like mine. Good backbeat. Can’t understand most of the vocals. If you’re going to be mad at least let the people know what you’re mad about.”

The Clash’s “Complete Control”:

“Sounds like the first one. The rhythm and chording work well together. Did this guy have a sore throat when he sang the vocals?”

The Ramones’ “Sheena is a Punk Rocker”:

“A good little jump number. These guys remind me of myself when I first started, I only knew three chords too.”

The Romantics’ “What I Like About You”:

“Finally something you can dance to. Sounds a lot like the sixties with some of my riffs thrown in for good measure. You say this is new? I’ve heard this stuff plenty of times. I can’t understand the big fuss.”

Talking Heads’ “Psycho Killer”:

“A funky little number, that’s for sure. I like the bass a lot. Good mixture and a real good flow. The singer sounds like he has a bad case of stage fright.”

Wire’s “I Am the Fly” and Joy Division’s Unknown Pleasures:

“So this is the so-called new stuff. It’s nothing I ain’t heard before. It sounds like an old blues jam that BB and Muddy would carry on backstage at the old amphitheatre in Chicago. The instruments may be different but the experiment’s the same.”

Oh Oh, men are disappearing

- Pollution is destroying men's genitals
- Phthalates, the plasticizer used to make vinyl soft, is affecting masculanity
- 'Fragile males' are more vulnerable than females to pollutants, affecting their development as early as the womb
- Antibacterial Cleaners do more harm than good
- Bisphenol, BPA. This act like a female hormone
- Endocrine disrupting chemicals: testicular cancer, infertility, a deformation of the penis
- The environment vs sperm count

I totally agree

One of my favorite animals, the sloth. But I didn't know they 'talked', perhaps only when they are young. I agree.

Transform a homeless into a hipster ... a little effort that changes a life

With a little effort you can change the life of someone. Jose Antonio was living on the streets of Palma, Spain, for 25 years. The owner of a salon invited him in for a make-over. With scissors, hair dye and a new outfit Jose became another person. Now he's not living on the streets anymore and has a job. Compliments.

Zalando vs Old Spice

Is it just me? The new Zalando commercials with James Franco resemble the old Old Spice commercials. Look and feel. I was watching them on television and I had to think of the Old Spice Man (the 'old' one). I've checked if it was the same advertising agency (W+K) but as far as I could see they did it themselves.
